Frequently Asked Questionsin Jenkintown

What type of pets do you see?

We primarily care for dogs and cats, but also welcome small mammals and select exotic pets such as rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, chinchillas, birds, and reptiles. Please call ahead if you’re unsure whether we can see your pet.

How can I book an appointment?

Most appointments are scheduled by phone, which allows our team to help you find the right type of visit—especially for urgent or sick pets. For non-urgent appointments, you may also use our online booking system.

Can you fill prescriptions from another veterinarian?

In most cases, yes. We ask that your previous veterinarian email or fax your pet’s medical records to us first. You can also request refills through our prescription refill form or order directly from our online pharmacy.

Where should I go for emergencies?

If your pet is experiencing an emergency during business hours, please call us right away. For after-hours emergencies, visit one of the trusted referral hospitals listed on our Emergency Referrals page.

Do you accept new clients?

Yes! We’re always happy to welcome new patients to Hopewell Veterinary Hospital. Please call to schedule your first appointment, and then complete our new client form.

Do you offer evening or weekend appointments?

Yes. Our hours are designed to help fit your schedule. We are open weekday evenings and Saturday mornings.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, checks, major credit/debit cards, and CareCredit. You can find more information about payment options and policies on our Payment Methods page.

How do I get a dog license?
